Two Months

Weight: 11 lbs 8.5 oz
Length: 23 3/4 in

I'm starting to smile!

Ashlyn really loves me.

So does Kaylee.

I'm not quite sure what to do with these yet.

And I still have the craziest hair around!

This Place is a Zoo!

We finally did it! We got into the city and spent a day having lots of fun. Although we have been into the city as a family once before and seen some of the sights, this time the wind chill was above zero (the temps were in the high 30s/low 40s) so it was a lot more enjoyable. James was scared of the animals at first but got into it more after he saw the apes running around.

We're going to make a plan to do more fun things while we live here. Two times into the city in two years is not enough. More details about today will be on our blog shortly.

Meet you in Midway!

Here is the latest plan for a reunion this August... We have 3 two bedroom units (each sleeps 6) booked at Worldmark in Midway, Utah for Aug 4th - 11th (check out on 11th). That is 7 nights of fun together! We will stay somewhere for 2 more nights so we can attend Angie's graduation, then take off for Oregon on the 14th. Anyone see a theme going on? We start on Doug and Emily's anniversary, end on Nikki and Jason's, and head home on Angie and Brandon's! It just worked out that way, but maybe it should be our theme... you can submit any suggestions and we can vote on just the right name. Dad and I are flying in on the 4th. Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Janet (and slight chance of Uncle Allen) are also planning to join us. Dad and I will be driving one of Brandon and Angela's vehicles home and Grandma and Grandpa will fly to Oregon on the 14th and arrive ahead of us. There is some flexibility in the dates in Midway. Should we start on the 6th and end on the 13th and go straight to graduation? That would mean Nikki and Jason and family would probably miss the last 2 days, as they have to be home by the 16th and want 4 days to make the drive. I will be awaiting everyone's input. Doug and Emily don't know yet about their summer plans, so be praying it will work out for them to come. Hey, Anne, maybe we can call this location the real "honeymoon suite"... I don't think there are any box elder bugs in Utah that time of year!

Thank you for the birthday gift, Mom! The girls and I enjoyed listening and dancing this morning.

P.S. You may recognize the dress Kaylee chose to wear for our dance party. :)

For those of you who don't know, JK Rowling is the author of the grand Harry Potter books of which I am a big fan. So, when my friend led me to this video I was excited. JK Rowling spoke at Harvard Commencement a few years back and I think it is quite worth listening to. If you wish, click on the link below, but it is 21 min so it takes some time.

As citizens of the United States, the only remaining super power, "the way you vote, the way you live, the way you protest, the pressure you bring to bear on your government has an impact way beyond your borders. That is your privilege and your burden."

One Month!

At Birth: 8 lbs 15 oz 21.5 in
1 Month: 10 lbs 3 oz 23 in

Hello, everyone! Can you believe I'm already a month old?! I am growing fast and doing great.

I spend a lot of time here in my crib. (I'll sleep up to 5 hours at a time at night.)

My big sisters adore me and always ask to hold me and hug me and kiss me.

My whole family is so glad to have me here!
