Happy 6th anniversary, Russ and Anne!

Hope you have a wonderful day. Indeed, it is a marriage made in heaven. I have included a few pictures I have of that day that I think are from Jason's camera. I have never scanned in the "official" pictures, but these capture some of the moments. I wish the pictures would post in the order I put them... which is the reverse of what they are!

All About ASHLYN

Height: 3 ft. 2 in.
Weight: 31 lbs.

Ashlyn loves:
  • Her Mom - every day for at least a month after Brenna and I came home from the hospital Ashlyn would say to me, "I so glad you home from the hop-pable. I miss you so much."
  • Chicken, French Fries & Chocolate Milk - when it's Ashlyn's turn for a date with Daddy she always requests this meal. And every time we drive past a McDonalds she points and exclaims excitedly, "My date! My date!"
  • Questions - reading a book to her is a long process, because every page is filled with questions. And she asks the same questions every time. Why? Why? Why?
  • Stories - she loves having us tell stories. For a while she constantly requested stories about "someone who got baptized," but now she seems to have moved on to "someone have a birthday."
  • Princesses - if Kaylee loves princesses, you can bet Ashlyn is going to love them as well. However, whenever they play Cinderella Ashlyn identifies herself with the wicked stepsister Anastasia, rather than the angelic heroine.
  • Baby Brenna - she loves to hold the baby and gets very excited when Brenna smiles at her or talks to her
We adore our energetic little drama queen who keeps us laughing!

All About KAYLEE

Most of my recent posts have been about Brenna, so I though I'd let you know what our other adorable daughters have been up to as well. So, here's KAYLEE! (Ashlyn will have her turn in a few days.)

Height: 3 ft. 8 in.
Weight: 46 lbs.

Kaylee loves:
  • Preschool - she is always sad when they have a vacation day (in the picture above she is modeling the Easter bonnet she made at school)
  • Princesses - watching them, reading about them, playing with them, pretending to be one of them, etc.
  • Barbies - she received her first real Barbie dolls for Christmas and has enjoyed playing with them for many, many hours
  • Coloring - she is very good at staying in the lines and she likes to color things true to life (i.e. if she's coloring Peter Pan she'll look at a picture in a book to make sure she does all the colors correctly)
  • Sisters - she and Ashlyn play together non-stop, and she can almost always get Brenna to smile when she talks to her
  • Skirts - she wears one EVERY day (if I make her wear pants to school, she changes into a skirt or dress when she comes home)
We sure do love her! (Can you believe she'll be headed to KINDERGARTEN in the Fall? Where has the time gone?!)

P.S. I was happy to find out our elementary school will continue on with half-day kindergarten, rather than full-day. Kaylee will be in the afternoon class, and is already SO excited about riding the bus to school.

Beautiful Temple!

I was on the church website today and took a minute to go through the pictures of the new Vancouver BC Temple. Absolutely gorgeous! Here's the link if you want to do the same. Makes me want to go visit. (I wanted to at least put the main picture on here, but I wasn't sure if it was copyrighted.)

Happy Birthday, Jason !!! (yesterday)

Well, Nana and Papa tried to reach Jason last night on his cell phone, but he didn't answer. So we (plus Ashley) sang all three verses to his voicemail!

Sorry we missed you Jason! We hope you had an enoyable birthday!

The Heart of Texas

I watched a documentary last night on BYU-TV that I HIGHLY recommend you find the time to watch. This is a one-hour documentary on how one man not only demonstrated true and complete forgiveness, but how he helped an entire community to understand what forgiveness is.

This is when it is scheduled on BYU-TV (Mountain), but I think you can go on-line anytime and watch it.

April 3 @ 8:00p The Heart of Texas
April 5 @ 1:00p The Heart of Texas
April 5 @ 7:00p The Heart of Texas
April 8 @ 1:00p The Heart of Texas
April 8 @ 6:59p The Heart of Texas

I know He is risen, and He forgives us all! It also helps to see examples of mortals proving that it is possible.

Love, Dad

Happy Easter!
