HELP!
Russ and I are having a little trouble coming up with a name for the baby. So, we thought we'd request a little family input. Please cast your vote for one of the following names:
I don't think I'm getting something here. Aren't you the two that refuse to tell us your list because you don't want to be influenced? Is this a joke??
Please tell me you're joking about whether or not this post is a joke - would we REALLY choose any of those names?! We truly are having a difficult time coming up with names that we like though. (I should have also listed "AnnMarie" - or whatever girl's name it was you like/used to like just to make you and Emily nervous though, huh?)
No! Obviously, you aren't going to use those names. I thought the whole part about asking us for ideas was a scam; that's what I was asking. I'll give you ideas, but I'd need to think about it. I'll get back to you with mine and Brandon's ideas. What are your requirements? Not biblical? Not too common? Not weird? What do you want?
Russ and I are honored that you would take time to discuss our baby's name. However, the one you've chosen violates our cardinal naming rule - too popular. "Madison" came up number 4 or 5 in terms of popularity in 2008. So, Rule #1 - not trendy. Rule #2 - begins with a different letter than the names of our other children. Rule #3 - doesn't have the same initial vowel sound as the other children's names. Rule #4 - preferably, doesn't have the same ending sound as our other children's names. There you go!
Here is an idea, but just an idea. A family came into work today, this is not a joke. Dad: Guillermo Bustamante Son 1: Guillermo Bustamante Son 2: Guillermo Bustamante Son 3: Luis Guillermo Bustamante Son 4: Mario Guillermo Bustamante Son 5: we don't know.
"Amelia" and call her "Lia" is a somewhat, but not too trendy name that sounds nice. I've also seen and liked "Melia" too. (Feel free to use both...I don't have any on a list for another child yet.) Although these might be possible common names for this year because of the publicity on Amelia Earhart. I'll try to think of others and let you know.
As to asking for suggestions, I don't think this is odd since I know how difficult it is to think of names and especially after having two of the same gender and having to come up with another! Just because we're giving suggestions doesn't mean they automatically make the list, if you still like not telling people your list. And sometimes after having multiple kids you end up being different parents than you started out to be...in fact, not sometimes, but all the time. Aren't we so glad we can change? Lately, I've been grateful our kids don't remember how we were in the first five years of their life or so so we can get better at being patient before we're seared in their memory :)

well Anne... what makes you think my pick is "Bernice"? I kind of like "Other" so I'll specify that as "Dad's pick".

Actually, (sorry) Brandon and I were just talking about this 3 days ago (no joke). We said we thought Madison would be the name of your next kid.

Just think of the possibilities....
